By the way! Did you! Know! I made the Lightners Live minigame for Deltarune! The mechanics, the charts, the silly details — everything but the music, writing and final art was me. I even built an entire chart editor from scratch, because manually timing each note sucks so so bad #deltarune

Made a utility to automatically turn any hole in any geometry into a "light hole", which makes it appear as though it is connected to a different space on the other side by communicating light/darkness coming through.

Back on my nonsense messing with the sprite-mesh shader. Now I flatten the mesh to sell that 2d look.

Using a MPC to make sure all the materials are unified.

Red capsule jumpscare!

I made an AI. It’s very rudimentary. This is the guy who will be chasing you in my horror game. I’m still working a few things out like having him wander around and making it so that he can see your flashlight. But other than that! Progress made! #godot #horror

It really means a lot to me that 50 people are interested in my journey as a #gamedev. So I'd like to show you something.

I decided to make my own terrain using Blender since Godot doesn't have a native way to create 3D terrain. The Terrain is still WIP.

I feel like I need to get this off my chest because if I don’t. It could negatively affect my wellbeing and cause harm to me. I work as a tech support representative for a cell phone company. I have about 20 calls come in a day. On some occasions I’ll get a bad call that really tanks my mood (1/4)

While I was rewatching some old clips of doctor who on YouTube I’ve had a sudden thought. You know how the weeping angels can only move if they’re not observed? What if I took that same concept and applied it to my horror game? This is a concept I will explore when I get home from work #gamedev

Being a solo game dev really puts into perspective just how much of a rockstar you can be all on your own

An example is how I made my tree model in blender. No way in hell would I have known to use a cone as the trunk of a tree!

New Year! New Progress Report!

I'm currently using a third party solution to generate terrain since the Godot engine does not have a Terrain heightmap generator natively built in. I also have plans to make more tree models for more variety.

Fun Fact:
During initial development of my horror game, Noctivagant, I needed a model that I can test jump scare triggers with, so I used a model of The Noise from Pizza Tower I pulled from The Models Resource. Such a goofy goober. #gamedev
