Polling now shows nearly half of Canadians are in favour.

While I think Canada *actually* becoming a member is still far-fetched, the two sides could aim for a much closer alliance.

If you want to do fiscal consolidation and not have a recession, you need a monetary offset. Fiscal consolidation and tariffs is a particularly silly combination because the tariffs tie the CB's hands...at least until they see the economy properly deteriorate
