In general season 3 and season 4 of Angel were two of the worst seasons of TV I've seen, though season 5 was pretty good actually.

My hottest Buffy takes are that I did actually think Xander was funny(in seasons 1-3, after that he’s kinda just there) and also I think the Spike/Buffy romance was a complete mess and terribly executed, idk why people like it

The only good Buffy romance was Tara/Willow. Angel also had Lilah/Wesley, which was weirdly compelling but generally, Joss Whedon sucks at writing romance.
