I don't know why, but Jamaican crime classic The Harder They Come (1972) being advertised with line “Infinitely more intelligent than Last Tango in Paris” is hilarious to me.

Reminds me of this misunderstood classic.

First film seen in 2025. Not a bad one.

Self-consciousness and mature approach can't really hide what is at core a typical buddy story and its cliches.

That said, Eisenberg is a really good visual director.
