Did not expect a found family narrative about the lead figuring out that his dad is a jerk cooked into my kick ass action Predator movie but... they did that and it was fantastic :)

My friend, you land in the found family that this story is getting at.

I have blood relations I don't respect as much as I do you. That was my big take away from this movie.

The Predator stuff is window dressing to a heartfelt movie of Dek and Thia and the baby Kaslisk finding each other.

Failure means death.

Then I will not fail.

(....the point I'm making is that approval and acceptance come from within yourself and your desire for them are only "killed" by accepting yourself and your spirit.)

This movie is just amazing. Immediately leaping into my top of the year list.

That was my biggest take. Dad was just an asshole and these new people? They're pretty cool.

I think that comment explains my current tendencies to play roguelikes/metroidvanias. Fun games that I can pick up and put down for 30-45 minutes if I like, or I can spend a few hours chewing on if I have time.
