We start with a premiere of the german post-bristolscene project Perlah, which will have a gorgeous debut cd out on the fantastic Trome Records next month. there's also a small new-zealand special with recent (reissued) material, a bit of danceable stuff, and we say goodbye to the morc-mobile.

Throughout 'Eye', Mariska Baars aka soccer Committee is evoking an atmosphere so hushed you lean in, afraid to miss a single detail. The most traditional songs here are delicately strong and quietly fierce. Other pieces showcase her mastery in manipulating texture and silence - even more than ever.

lots of downervibes though: sandra bell, cynthia dall, chokebore, even magnapop and the hole/babes in toyland predecessor Pagan Babies: it all rocks, but it's slow and good.
anyway: we picked up a looot of new releases the past few months, next few episodes will be focussing on more recent material.

i noticed that i havent been playing a lot of 'rock' in the past few episodes, so we're making that up here with a few stone cold classics - so, mostly 'older things' here - only a handful of tracks from after 2020.

ik hoorde een stukje van Ryan Davis die 'God's biographer' speelde. geweldig nummer (uit 2000 al!). Simon Joyner coverde het ook al, net als The Whigs. de bingo's brachten vorig nog een nieuwe lp uit op oa almost halloween time. blijft een fascinerende band.
