If Doctor Who were to return with a completely fresh start (with our mascot Phoebe Waller-Bridge in the title role), which of its older stories would stand up to being retold?

Playing a birthday party on back of a lorry in direct sunlight. Ouch. But on the plus side thanks to the DJ I've just discovered the answer to the question "what is worse than Total Eclipse of the Heart?'
The answer is of course the dance remix of it.

Catching up on the news with a bit of CNN. (Virtually anything is preferable to Sunday Brunch)
Top quote so far '...smuggling humans AND women and children'.
Nice work, Pam, you wouldn't want to inadvertently include women and children in that pesky human category. Where would it end?

I mean, they're not going to turn out to be the Doctor,BUT my heart sings with glee at how, if they were,it might possibly irritate the fecking life out of the King of the anti-woke universe, Foxmega, that his ex wife is the Doctor.

This Ewan Moore chap (no idea who he is ;)) makes some good points. I still had a ball for the most part though.
A 🧵 of stray thoughts on the Doctor Who finale because I haven't stopped thinking about it (not really in a good way).

Spoilers obvs.

That's Doctor Who done for another year (or two) then, but does it leave us expecting more, and does it leave us satisfied with what we've had?

Just watched Doctor Who. Liked a lot of it up until the word vomit of weird logic. Possibly I'm tired from tonights gig and missing stuff. But having a character say this isn't just exposition isn't a get out of jail free card for said very tiresome expo dump and I'm a bit surprised he thinks it is.

No idea how it's gone down but finally caught up with Doctor Who, sadly after having one element of the 'haha they finally f*cking did it and both in the same episode' spoiled. Even if you took out those bits, I thought this was great. No notes.

In order to recognise the contribution Val Kilmer has made to cinema we might have chosen to watch The Doors. Or Heat. Batman Forever, Tombstone, Top Secret! or Top Gun, even.

But no, we went with the 1996 adaptation of The Island of Dr. Moreau.
