Good, it’s about time more media companies did this. Actors shouldn’t have to deal with bullying and online toxicity no matter what TV series they’re in.

Just read Alex Kingston is going to be on Strictly and now I’m wondering will her novelty dance be Doctor Who themed or ER themed…🤔

Highly amused at all the keyboard warriors suggesting boycotting the actors working on the new Harry Potter TV series & audiobook. Yeah cause that’s going to make a difference to the trans community. Boycotting all those actors who *checks notes* have no actual influence on UK policy.

I do hope everyone who criticises the cast of the new Harry Potter TV series also criticises the new audiobook cast as well. Cause otherwise you’ll all be hypocrites instead of just insufferable.

Have to be honest I’m so sick of click bait articles. Especially from publications that should know better. I get why actors can be so reluctant to do interviews nowadays as it’s amazing how many publications either take stuff out of context or make stuff up entirely 🙄

Today marks eight years since 72 people from predominantly working-class communities of colour were killed in the Grenfell fire. Our thoughts are with those who were lost, their grieving loved ones, and those who survived this preventable tragedy.

This is such a disingenuous, means spirited piece of click bait by a writer who couldn’t be arsed to do research. If she’d read the press from the last series of Dalgliesh she’d know there was no guarantee it was being recommissioned. Be disappointed in Bertie Carvel but don’t make stuff up.
Has anyone sat down and thought about the logistics of what they've greenlit? There is this attitude among the WBD brass that feels very similar to the one AT&T had when they announced HBO Max: "How hard can it be?"
'Dalgliesh' Season 4 Likely on Hold as Bertie Carvel Chooses 'Harry Potter'
In "more actors making disappointing life choices," Bertie Carvel, Katherine Parkinson, Bel Powley, and Daniel Rigby have all joined the HBO Harry Potter series.

has kind of annoyed me. I doubt Bertie Carvel has walked away from Dalgliesh. If Ani Bundel had done research she’d see it hasn’t been recommissioned yet & he can’t put his career on hold for something that may not happen.

I can’t help but feel that half the complaints about the new BBC dinosaur program are because people have nostalgia goggles on & have forgotten the original was so “awesome” because they were a kid when it aired.

I got a ticket for this the moment I saw Kobna’s name. I’m in love with his narration of the Rivers novels. Especially his Thomas Nightingale.
Get those tickets before Kobna's vast army of fans snap them up.

Does a certain Augustus Berry Cloth Young feature in this at all…
With Rivers of London: In Liberty's Shadow, you can take your games of modern magic to the United States!

What excites you most about this upcoming release?

Looks like I’m heading to Stratford this year to see this… Not been there since I saw David Tennant play Hamlet.
❄ The Winter’s Tale news – Madeline Appiah will play Hermione, Bertie Carvel will play Leontes, Aïcha Kossoko will play Paulina, and John Light will play Polixenes in Yaël Farber’s upcoming production of Shakespeare's enigmatic story of love, loss and rebirth

Today would have been Benjamin Zephaniah's 67th birthday.

On Saturday, Amnesty was delighted to have honoured the life and legacy of the late icon of the arts and activism at the Benjamin Zephaniah Day festival hosted by Brunel University.

Since we’re all talking about it I want to blow up a real female space pioneer, Mae Jemison, an actual astronaut. She’s a graduate of Stanford and Cornel Medical School, served in the peace corps, started an educational nonprofit, and worked for the CDC researching vaccines. That’s a woman in space

I’ll never understand the AI makes art accessible crowd. Like there aren’t loads of apps, online courses, YouTube videos ect and cheap art supplies available. We live in an era where it’s never been easier to learn. Or just commission artists instead.
