Trump makes these enormous bluffs in order to drag the entire world right. The "compromise" position winds up being almost exactly what he really wanted. I'm sure he talks about this strategy in one of his books, and it's a pretty common aggressive negotiating tactic.

I think it's weird that everybody is fixated on what the shooter's identity can tell us and not interested at all in what the stories we told about the shooter before he was captured tell us about our circumstances.
