I too generally believe going on the show of a white supremacist without challenging them is beyond the pale. I also owe a lot of my current and past political education to Ryan Grim (of which I'm very grateful) so I'd like to listen to an explanation from him but also understand if others don't.

I dont know how I feel about this. He's extremely careful with his words, you can see him almost say "thank you" then changes to saying no doubt about it, and he doesnt say the posse will "like" dropsite but says it'll be "useful" whatever that means. I would like him to explain why hes doing this.

Interesting thought! I'm curious if you also think the senate is cannibalizing leftist energy in a similar way?

Oh for sure, there's a floor like 15% of people that are naturally attracted to fascism and a much larger group of people that can be situationally convinced. I think what I'm trying to articulate is that the senate empowers that 15% contrary to the conventional wisdom that it disempowers them.

If he hits his head enough times maybe he'll flip back to liberal!

...concentrate power even further in an executive branch that already has so much. It is a natural situation for fascism to thrive in. Instead of being afraid that killing the filibuster will unleash fascism, we should actually be afraid that keeping it IS ALREADY!

...the president. We see this in the supreme court, the only branch of government that has successfully pushed back on the Trump admin. That is because it is not a weak body that is able to be obstructed easily. Because we have such a hobbled congress, both parties have sought to...

First, fascism requires a strong central authority, however the filibuster makes congress and the senate weak. Look at how much more prominent Pelosi and Johnson are than Thune or Schumer. If a party could pass it's legislation in congress, the congress would be so much more powerful compared to...

Will people become even more desensitized to treating other humans poorly once they get used to berating or physically abusing their robots? Probably. Great if the robots dont care but that still doesnt prevent negative consequences.
November 3, 2025 at 12:13 AM
I think the bigger distasteful thing here is simply that the robots aesthetically resemble humans. They are made to look, talk, and move as humans do. So it feels like you have an uncanny human slave. I don't think we'd be having the same conversation if robots weren't designed to be so human-like

The third kind are the hybrids - like Mamdani. Someone who starts at a smaller office and builds reputation and credibility before running for larger office. Limitations are that this takes a long time. Also you need dynamic challengers to win to persuade existing politicians that tacking left is

I no longer support Platner for senator after finding out about the tattoo.

It looks to me like they just walked up there and took a photo. If not and they were actually pals or something, yeah for sure platner is a nazi.

The tattoo is bad. The screenshot he is away from the dude wearing the 88. The caption says they shook hands but its not in the picture. In political photos you always want to be seen shaking hands or having your arm around the other person. Seems like the 88 guy is lying

This is the writer's other recent pieces. Seems like he is obsessed with writing about pro palestine leftists through the "are they anti-semitic?" lens. Makes me not entirely trust the framing at the very least!
