Both daughters headed for Canterbury hills today. One overnighting to Double Hut at Lake Heron and the other doing a day tramp around Lake Clearwater. So many great places within easy reach of Christchurch. Looks fine if cool for their hikes.

Herald still peddling EV misinformation. The story mentions both the Auckland car/bus crash and the Whangarei car park fires as cause uncertain and highlighting EVs in both fires. Whangarei has film of the guilty non EV vehicle and I thought fire service said fire originated from petrol vehicle.

Jeez I’m feeling grumpy. Suspect combo of cold grey easterly bowling across Christchurch and the weekly supermarket shop. Everything is up in price except wine - there are some good buys to stock up for Christmas season. I mean $14.99 for a nice wine is my idea of good buys.
