It's great.

Agreed. I'll be running it in Shadowdark. My girls have an affinity for that system.

Cool! This is going to be the setting I transition my girls into.

It felt very much like a Mervel B grade movie. Fun at the theater.

They are. I bought the Vaesen on a while back when it was reasonable. The other I needed now because the Mythic Carpathian expansion references it a lot.

Dragonbane is great too. I'm not normally a big fan of automatic hit systems, but the way this one works with armour is good. And the monsters having unique attack tables it really narrative and fun. Anything from Free League is top notch.

I really like it. It's a lot like Call of Cthulhu but instead of mind bending cosmic horror you're dealing with intimate spooky folk horror. It's fun how simple the scenarios play out.

Super simple. D6 dice pools, 6's are successes. You can push rolls once, but get conditions when you fail, which cause you -d6 per condition until healed. Vaesen are super strong, you want to solve the mystery, and perform the ritual instead of confronting the Vaesen directly.

Looks like great fun!

Awesome system.

I get it. And agree. B5 was really different. I could gush. Subtle inside jokes in the season 1 & 2 dialogue that make no sense until you see 3 & 4...fake commercials with subliminal messages planted in the middle of real commercials when they aired on network. Gawd...it was art...

They are the inspiration for the game, but don't have any direct info to necessarily link to the mysteries in the game, but they have good hints. It's great giving them to players to represent the society's "research library" and help them just enough, but not too much. #ttrpg

I've enjoyed Doctor Who, but not fanatically. I have a soft nostalgia spot for it from watching PBS when I was home sick as a kid. Firefly...we'll just have to agree to disagree there. Every episode felt like an RPG one-shot to me. Just perfect.

B5 had plywood sets and (by current standards) cheesy Video Toaster special effects....but...some of the chracters had really amazing story arcs with brilliant performances. It's still my favorite TV show of all time. Probably always will be.

I loved the format. When B5 dropped I stopped watching Star Trek. It was like watching a LoTR level story arc in TV sci fi. X-Files too. That notion there is a consistent thread, but the stories each week may ir may not attune to it.

So cool.
