I cannot, will not, must not, never will be normal about "Omega Megaera." "Succession," but set in the Omegaverse. I read it in Japanese, have wanted to shove it at people for ages, and now the first English volume is available for request on NetGalley.

OK, so it actually pains me to say this, but the new "Frankenstein" is mid. Saw it Thursday night at a little indie theater downtown. Confirms my suspicion that Del Toro is not actually a very good writer, Pan's Labyrinth aside, and maybe should let someone else do his scripts.

Berkley, pls just reject my ARC request and put me out of my misery. Every day i don't get that "nope" email is another day in hope I might actually get it.

Oh boy oh boy I hope the two people in front of me want to be friends! (Honestly, I have never gone to a movie solo before, I am weirdly nervous)

I need to stop getting mad at the rom coms for not having the blood and angst quotient i want in my fiction and just...stop reading rom coms. It is not them. It's me.

If TikTok actually gets banhammered, does that mean those hideous "TikTok Sensation!" covers are going away? Does that mean publishing will actually have to have marketing plans? Does that mean we get less bad book takes from braindead Zoomers? How awful~

I mean, I know Japan ADORES "Anne", but I dunno what's the bigger shocker when it comes to reviving long-dormant properties, this or "Hana-Kimi."
BREAKING: Classic Novel ‘Anne of the Green Gables’ is getting a new anime adaptation!!

"Anne Shirley" is scheduled for April 2025.

"Glicked" is old news. "Babyratu" will be the truly insane double feature this Christmas.

I say this gently and with love in my heart: Have y'all ever actually watched a Passionflix movie all the way through? This was never going to be GOOD. "CW-grade cheesefest" is probably the absolute best case scenario.

Tfw when a book is beautifully written, but you find its worldview and themes SO INCREDIBLY rancid. Sorry, "The Crane Husband.*" It's... definitely me.💙📚

Instead of a new job, I get... A $2000 television? I won't turn down Amazon 's fuckup, but I wanted my bathmat.

Man, as soon as BlueSky lets me get notifs when specific people post like the bird app does, I think I might just finally take the leap

#Romancelandia, I have a question. As I get deeper in the weeds of plotting this series, I am leaning towards killing some characters. Can I still sell it as a romantasy if a secondary romantic couple don't get an HEA, but the MMC and MFC do? Or does romance mean HEAs for EVERYONE?

I thought I could get through the entire Yule season without hearing the cursed synthesizer plinking of "Wonderful Christmastime." Even turned my Christmas station to "Classical Christmas" to decrease chances. Today, with 36 or so hours to go, I get hit w/ a CHORAL VERSION. FML.

Watching family friends make hamentaschen with Earl Grey apricot filling as part of their Christmas cookie lineup warms my heart. The embodiment of "A little confused, but has the spirit" right there.

Given the very specific circumstances, I'd either check to see if I'm on drugs or if the baby is on drugs and if the latter find out where I could get some because clearly those are some gooooood drugs.

If I wasn't side eyeing Bramble Romance/Tor before now, I definitely am after they announced "Pen Pal" as part of the lineup without even trying to hint at how...uh, very unique the ending is.

Over on Threads, they’re debating “why Bluesky is dying,” which is very funny to me. It’s the only social media site that doesn’t make me want to plug in a toaster while taking a bath.

Alright, so clearly this will just make me mad if I try to take it seriously as an Edith Wharton adaptation. We'll see how it does as a period soap opera. Gilded Age is a snoozefest that spends way too much time with the servants and Bridgerton is too goofy to take seriously.
The Buccaneers review: This Apple TV+ costume drama is the new Bridgerton
This stylised period series about five young American women making their way in England has distinct shades of Netflix's hit – and deserves to be as successful, writes Neil Armstrong.
