These kids have seen their friends gunned down at school. Then a global pandemic shut down their lives. Now they are driving through ICE checkpoints terrified they might “look Mexican”.
How much more can these kids take? The fundamental ways we have failed our children will never be forgiven.

Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers.
This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

My mother recently died from dementia. As forgetful as she was, she kept repeating a story of what happened when she was in the 4th grade in San Francisco during WW2. Two men in suits came in and took her friend, a Japanese boy, who sat in front of her. She never saw him him again.
