As an American, Charlie Kirk had every right to say whatever he believed without fear of violence. The fact that someone murdered him is sickening and alarming. The fact that Trump is trying to use it as an excuse to silence criticism and opposition is also sickening and alarming.

I am not religious, or even a believer, really. But I pray nearly everyday for a certain person to just die already. Am I a bad person?

I used to think poorly of Americans who moved to the Philippines to live. (Mostly men who married or were looking to marry Filipinas.) Because the gov. there is corrupt. But now? Hells bells, we got more corruption right here. Philippines is looking pretty good tbh.

2. Criminalize the problem
3. Punish the victims
4. Push through a half-assed solution which (a) costs more than preventing the problem, (b) doesn't work), and (c) funnels taxpayers' money to wealthy Republicans
This has been the GOP approach for a century and more.

Currently reading Maria Ressa’s book, “How to Stand Up to a Dictator”. The parallels and similarities of how dictatorships happen (are enabled by those trying to maintain their own positions) and the object lessons are worth reading. She’s the Fillipina Nobel Peace winner.

We do live in interesting times. I will likely be dead in 10-15 years, but it’s going to be very … either interesting or horrible for the rest of my life. Good luck the rest of you.

Went to pic a few groceries. Green peppers are now $1 EACH. (I don’t live in NYC.) I noticed a lot of produce is now price by the piece instead of LB. I guess because the per LB price would be so astronomical. Grocery chains logging record (HUGE) profits this year, BTW.
