My husband should teach a masterclass on caring for disabled family. He patiently waits for me to put my words together and doesn’t interrupt. He notices when my hands are shaking from the pain before I do. And he just always gives his quiet unassuming support whenever I need it

Proud of myself! Asked for a wheelchair to sit through my mammogram instead of trying to stand through it.
First mammogram and had the results before I got home.. no abnormalities found!

Had to accompany my mother to the ER on Monday. She’s fine but I am worn down. I keep falling asleep and my pain is through the roof. I have 3 appointments between in the next 2 days for her, my son, and me but right now I don’t know how I am going to be able to do them

We trying to go as long as we can without running the AC but I broke down tonight. It’s 80F (26.6C) in the house even at 2 am and it’s I can’t take it anymore.

My 14 old son has been across state for a music festival. He got home and curled up in my arms. Kid is taller than me but still lets me snuggle with him. Even told me he missed me too and got me some honey for an early Mother’s Day gift.

Over $300k raised for that poor baby. As it should be. Our babies, all our babies, deserve love and compassion
My teen son and his buddies use “alpha male” as an insult. This is also the same kid who came home after his class on the stock market ranting about the evils of capitalism and wealth hoarding.
The kids are okay but that is due, in part, to teaching and raising them to be part of a community.

Even if one can tell them it‘s for a stockpile, there’s controlled scripts that will absolutely flag you.
“Stockpile RX’s” is really up there with “build your own farm” in terms of useless for most Americans.

She’s right! I wasn’t ovulating when I decided that I would have 1. Oh that’s right, it’s when I was pregnant so LOTS of baby making hormones. Conversely, I chose to come off the bc to have said pregnancy. That’s what reasonable people do when they can decide on pregnancies

Just read a comic featuring a disabled character falling in love with an abled bodied photographer. It’s well loved. 1st volume is the photographer encouraging the disabled character to get expand his world and pursue his dreams of traveling and their relationship.

I hate prednisone so much! It’s 3:22 in the morning and I can’t sleep. I’m glad it’s just a short round so it shouldn’t be too bad with side effects (hopefully!)

With antibiotics, you are supposed to hold your immune suppressants. But without them, I feel sick and have many the same symptoms.
I’m just in a flux state of it’s infection or my own immune system making me feel so awful

Really suggest, if you aren’t already familiar, reading up the start of food regulations in the US. It was as important then as it is now. Even the wealthy were supportive
i realize the title is a bit counterintuitive but the answer is that you cannot as an individual guarantee your food is safe. we can, as a collective, push back HARD on dismantling food safety regulations, and put pressure on an unpopular administration to keep our food from killing us.

I’ve seen posts that just copy and paste their caption, emojis, and all in alt text that do nothing to actually describe the image. If you are going use it, put in effort. Takes a minute for the bare minimum.
maybe don’t use the alt text on photos as a second caption to your post…it’s an accessibility tool
