I know it's #caturday, but this old girl just took me on a 3.5 mile walk in 27 degree weather (feels like 21). 12 years old & still loving her walks.

Got my first Meals on Wheels hug today from a lady coming in for her thanksgiving turkey (I volunteer at the pantry). Makes my stiff muscles from picking up giant frozen turkeys worth it!

Got my first Meals on Wheels hug today from a lady coming in for her thanksgiving turkey (I volunteer at the pantry). Makes my stiff muscles from picking up giant frozen turkeys worth it!

I honestly wonder if I'm a dying breed. I vote even if there is nothing on the ballot (e.g., a single candidate). I might have missed one election since turning 18 (I'm 60). Voting is the absolute smallest act we must make to be a participant in this country's future.

Saturdays I volunteer at a cat shelter. Mondays at Meals on Wheels. Easily the 2 best days of the week for me. Volunteering is so good for your soul and outlook. I've had some of the nicest chats with MoW people coming to the pantry. And cat petting? c'mon-that's free therapy!
