Just in NIH grants, It looks like beautiful Iowa City, home of the U of Iowa, will lose $71m in funding. That's almost $1k per resident. And that's before all the other cuts to SSA, FDA, etc.

Thank you for posting this. No Medicaid = no healthcare for lots of people, no doctors, no medications, no tests and no NIH $ = no new treatments for cancer or heart disease or other diseases. No biomedical innovation = no economy. Completely mind-boggling
NIH funds 30,000 employees in DC and 300,000+ people are funded in all 50 states.
