Blue Monday book recommendations, romcom edition, for a little light and fluffy escape:
These are low angst, pure escapism, fun and flirty and impossibly charming. Both authors are easy to read with bantery wit and well written prose.

A character driven epistolary novel, full of hope and heartbreak: Last Christmas in Paris by Hazel Gaynor & Heather Webb. I though the book was overhyped and I resisted it, but it’s marvelous. I’m going to need someone very skillful to buy the rights, I want to see this on screen, please 💌 #BookSky

If you don’t want a sugary holiday treat but want the feels: Kate Mosse delivers with The Winter Ghosts. Set in 1920s France, a beautifully rendered ghost story that encapsulates grief, loss and redemption. The descriptive prose is lovely, and the story is haunting without being cliched 👻 #BookSky

Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison is a better written story than most Christmas movies you can stream right now. The Christmas tree farm, the best friends to lovers trope, the fake dating, the banter, the chemistry..swoon worthy. And it’s the first in a series by an easy to read author. 🎅 #BookSky
