My only quibble with your post is point #3. The membership in these orgs is very small, and the orgs themselves are prohibited from making endorsements. I think alders think these orgs are much more popular with and influential over neighbors than they actually are.

Lots and lots of discussion about removing a max of 14 parking spots throughout the neighborhood for bike docks and declarations that there is not demand for Divvy in our neighborhood. Nobody responded to my email citing that almost 186,000 Divvy rides started/ended here in the last year.
