indicator of his ability to build the relationships that are needed to actually govern for our city. If he were in DC, I trust he wouldn’t vote for Trump’s nominees. But I need him to work with our two Democratic senators if he’s going to get things done in Saint Paul.

Melvin Carter believes in Saint Paul. He’s devoted his life to making our city the best it can possibly be. He’s making sure we do the basics really, really well—and he’s working tirelessly to show that a city owes its residents so much more than the basics. I’m proud to support him.

Everybody knows that we have big challenges in Saint Paul. Nobody knows this better than the Mayor. But he doesn’t let our challenges define us, and he doesn’t use them as an excuse to think small about our collective future.

We have to invest in proven public safety strategies, AND we have to raise the floor for working families by increasing the minimum wage, enacting earned sick and safe time, and more.

We have to maintain the streets, AND we have to fight climate change and work to lower the bills of our lowest-income families through weatherization and electrification support.
