I’m voting for @melvincarter.bsky.social on Tuesday, and it isn’t an especially hard choice.
There’s a lot of talk in STP about how we need to do the basics really well. A lot of that talk has come from me! It’s something I ran on because it’s something I hear all the time from folks in Ward Four.

I'm proud to live in Saint Paul. Every day, I see how we build a city that puts our values into action. In just the last few years, I've watched our city make big strides forward—enacting essential protections for renters, raising the minimum wage, and passing earned sick and safe time for workers.

Great night to talk to Ward Four neighbors who are excited to re-elect @mayorcarter.bsky.social! (And to take mediocre pictures of beautiful trees.)

Spent the afternoon with my family and tens of thousands Minnesotans standing up for democracy; spent the morning with dozens of volunteers for HMC’s Big Ole Trash Party, collecting almost 100 bags of trash from the streets of Midway. Grateful for neighbors fighting for a better world.

Day three of #WeekWithoutDriving. For me, the morning was easy: Green Line straight to downtown, very easy and completely uneventful. For the rest of my family, today is a different story.

Day 1 of #WeekWithoutDriving. Biked, trained, bussed. It’s easy to take public transit without thinking twice when I’m going downtown or places along the Green Line; today is a day when there were a few trips where I would usually have justified hopping in the car. Excited to be breaking bad habits!

Door knocking for #YesForSPPS because I want my son to have the same amazing educational experience that I did in our public schools.

This weekend, like the last few weeks, has been a blur of community events, conversations with neighbors, meetings with advocates and organizers, and the feeling of possibility that comes with the start of a new season.

Today: Green Line. Also, three years ago today, Green Line. We love the Green Line.

I missed the ride but did get this pic of Leo eating his first nut roll, so I’m a fan.

Rating different commute options to City Hall. Morning one: 72. So clean, so comfy, so convenient (if your timing is right). Scenery is excellent.

Thank you, Ward Four! We did it. Whether you knocked doors, made phone calls, donated, hosted a meet and greet with your neighbors, were a supporter from day one or decided just before walking into your polling place: you built this campaign, and I’m forever grateful for your support.

Feeling a lot of gratitude for my family, friends, and neighbors today. And, this Election Day in particular, I’m feeling grateful to be able to participate in our democracy. Voting is just one piece of what it takes, but it matters, and I am grateful to be able to do it.

Great public transit creates connected, sustainable communities where everyone can get around and all of us can thrive. I’m proud to be endorsed by Move MN Action and look forward to advancing people first, climate-friendly, transportation policies! #votetransit
