Earlier the government argued the 10 days of missing footage had been "irretrievably destroyed," then it argued it was lost in a "system crash." Now it says that the footage never existed at all and is therefore not "missing" and they cannot be held liable

I appreciate the MPD clearly naming the negative impact of ICE. I'm concerned about the call he makes for both sides to figure out how to stop it. Feds are after voter and SNAP user data. Hard no. There's nothing MN wants from the feds but to stop harassment. It's not a "both sides" situation.

And abolition, civil rights, sanctuary is also who we've always been. Let's not erase the legacy and capabilities that feed our hope and resistance.

It's important that no further harm come to ANYONE. Violence rhetoric of any kind aimed at anyone does not help to get ICE out, does not help keep us focused on legal process. We need to protect witnesses, protect evidence and keep everyone safe and deescalate.
