Here is a good report on the results of Black Friday. My takeaway is that we all need consumer goods, we wait for sales so they are more affordable. But we have a choice about where to buy. So let’s keep being conscious consumers and support those who support us.

Here is a good report on the results of Black Friday. My takeaway is that we all need consumer goods, we wait for sales so they are more affordable. But we have a choice about where to buy. So let’s keep being conscious consumers and support those who support us.

I just checked Black Friday results: the highest in history. Underneath the story: historically steep retailer discounts coupled by “pay over time” spending. Neither is good for the consumer. It means retailers need sales and consumers go into debt. 🧵

We did this back in 2004 in California. It took 4 cycles to flip a seat in Sacramento, but now nearly all seats in California are blue.
