Tell Your Cat I Said "psspsspss"

Mostly human, most of the time. Cats, photography, photos of cats, travel, socialism, humanism. No gods, no masters, and a good old-fashioned pre-PACE kick in the bollocks for orange felons, his friends, relations, heirs and successors.
Can I just say that I think I've fallen in love? My venerable Logi MX Keys (not the S) was starting to fall apart, so I bought a K5 Max with brown switches from @keychron.bsky.social. DAMN but it's nice to type on.

It's Friday, and your endorphin levels may be depleted. I offer this as a public service but will not be held responsible for diabetic comas that may result.

WOO! FUCKING AYE! NYC gets the mayor we always deserved but never got because The Machine was in control.

Congratulations @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social - now make good on the promise and make this town a place we can all live, thrive, and survive in.

Finally gave up on that hellscape over there >>>, way too much Trumpism happening. If you're a cat over there and also over here please say hello.

Read the first chapter of Alan Bullock's 'A Study in Tyranny'.
Examine the parallels between the early intellectual development of the former German chancellor and that of the current US president.
Now tell me there's nothing to worry about.

Until we can change the way people think, and make them see that taxes are the price of their membership of a society rather than a punishment, this is the way we have to go.

#techquestion: looking into a replacement for Skype ahead of its sunset in May. Thinking about Jami. Does anyone have experience of the platform? Critically, how easy would it be for a fairly tech-unsavvy person (like my mum) to use?

It's weird: you can spend years taking pictures, and thinking that the pictures you take are a bit meh. Then quite by chance someone turns you on to a new darkroom technique and all of a sudden pictures you thought were meh turn out to be not as meh as you thought they were.

Presumably all the people who voted for that assclown on the basis of cheaper eggs and groceries will be happy that petrol is set to increase by 10% thanks to the tariffs that they thought other countries would pay.

Serious question: how the actual fuck did a man who resembles Mr. Prune, the spokesfruit for geriatric regularity, who speaks like he's having his 5th stroke, and who has by his own admission lost half his brain to worms, become the nominee for health secretary?

BlueSky's algo seems to be better than that other place's. There, if I call nazi "a suppurating boil on the pissflaps of humanity" it thinks "Oh, you want more nazi content".
Here it thinks "You've followed a lot of cats. You want more cat content. Here [literally armfuls of cats]."
