Israël moet aantonen dat het zich houdt aan het internationaal recht. De EU kan daarbij helpen. Een eerste stap zou zijn dat de EU begrijpt dat de Israëlische escalatie een strategische bedreiging vormt voor haar belangen!

A call to #lift_sanctions on #Syria and for a realistic policy in this regard (cc-Caspar Veldkamp).
The suffering of ordinary Syrians should not be exploited to make (geo-)political gains or as a leverage against Syria's new rulers.
#Sanctions mostly hurt #ordinary_citizens under the former regime. If not lifted, they will continue to harm ordinary #civilians with potentially (even more) far-reaching and lethal consequences.
