A British surgeon returned from Gaza says Israeli soldiers were shooting at aid-seekers “almost like a game of target practice".

Seeing the photos of Brad Lander’s arrest yesterday I ask again:
Why is the onus on protestors to be "peaceful" when the State brings violence? Why is "rioting" used to malign only the people fighting violence initiated by the State and its agents, and not those agents and that State?

really saddening to read this because we have a similar situation in Kenya --- poor and working class kids are criminalised and any place where kids can hang out costs money as no-fee public spaces (social halls etc) have basically disappeared.
