MSc Animal Behaviour graduate from University of St. Andrews. Interested in large carnivore ecology, behavioural biology, conservation, human-animal interactions and co-existence. Crazy about canines and felines. Photography enthusiast.
I just returned from a visit to Gir National Park, my favourite place in the world, and the last home of the Asiatic Lion. We were blessed with incredible sightings, and here are a few photos from the trip! I'll likely post more as well as I process and edit the photos!

Update from Saadani Lion Project: After 100 days of intense fieldwork, we wrapped up the SECR population estimation survey for 🦁 in Saadani NP. Besides getting to see these unique and shy🦁, I am extremely intrigued with how frequently they hunt big prey like🦒🐃 #mammals 🦊

I haven't seen any starter packs made for behavioral ecology yet, so I decided to create one!

If you are a behavioral ecologist (any career stage), please reply so I can add you to the list so we can more easily find each other.

It has been a hot minute since I've been on here! The PhD hunt continues and I've been doing some remote work back home.

I wanted to ask what the ecology Academic community is like on here? Is it as active compared to Twitter? Not the biggest fan but felt the most updates happen there.

Proud to announce that late November, I finally graduated with a Master of Science in Animal Behaviour from the University of St Andrew's!

It's been a wild, wild ride, and I look forward to what comes next!

A question to the academics here, where do I start looking if I wish to study lions (preferably African but ideally both African and Asiatic lions) for a PhD? A bit overwhelmed by the internet, heh.

One of my favourite moments amongst Antarctic wildlife was the whales. I may have developed a soft spot for humpbacks after this one incredible trip as part of my studies at St. Andrews!

I was also trained in surveying marine mammals using Cybertracker, a digital survey app that can be customised.
