I’ve been on Linux exclusively for a couple weeks now (just using Bazzite, which is gaming focused) and while there are some things I miss and certain apps aren’t as good as their Windows counterparts, I’ve been doing OK.

The self-congratulatory nature of awards shows is what bugs me, but that's not TGA-specific. It is also interesting to me that -- as far as I know -- it's the only one that shows exclusive trailers/reveals for upcoming games. I don't think they do this with movies, TV, etc.

MIL’s surgery went well, first round of dialysis done, her numbers are much more normal, and she’s feeling excited about getting up and out of the hospital soon (hopefully), so all signs that things are headed in the right direction! ❤️

I’m having a good night on the eve of my MIL’s kidney removal surgery (due to cancer) and subsequent start of dialysis.

Crazy to think that Omega Boost was their only non-racing game ever. And I remember it being pretty cool! I also seem to recall some really bad live-action cutscenes, but I'm not sure I trust my brain on that one. 😂

He looks pretty good! I think I'm going to topcoat these to see if getting rid of the plastic shine helps make them look a little nicer.

I wish Laserbeak’s wings moved the way they do on the original toy, but I do like that there’s a cassette version included and good color separation across all of these.

I eventually just stopped using a spreadsheet and started using Playnite, and now I basically just use that as a way to check and see if I already own a game on any platform before a sale gets me (again). 😂

But yeah man, tracking the water slides is essential. It's easy to lose track and I've already made the mistake of a dupe purchase!

One final amusing reflection on the process of cataloging everything:
When it came to my backlog, I just quickly took pictures of the various piles/boxes, not thinking about things like timelines, release years, etc., so I still had to Google a ton of these after the fact.
So efficient. 😅

Still have the cassettes to go, but finished the rest tonight. Went for a G1 box-like pose.
This was OK. It reminded me of third-party Lego sets, in that it’s still cool, but you can see and feel the differences in engineering and the small details.
It’s solid though and does feel like a toy!

Looks like this is mostly ABS, so I’m not going to take any chances panel lining it. Will likely leave it as a snap build, which I think will be fine.
Tightness on some joints destroyed my fingers, but it’s been a solid build so far otherwise.

Oh man, I somehow forgot Kim Cattrall was in ST6! Thinking back on it though, she was one of the main reasons I wanted to watch that movie after seeing her in Big Trouble in Little China and Mannequin. 😅

Agreed! It’s spilling over to HGs too, where I feel a bit disappointed when there aren’t any options. I’ll probably have to start getting creative with all the extras I’m amassing. 😅

I totally forgot this kit came with some! 😅 I used the G-Rework water slides and the included metallic stickers on this guy. I did really like the dry rubs on the MG Ball Ver. Ka though!
