Why does it have to be Speaker Johnson who swears in Adelita Grijalva? The legal requirement is that the oath is taken, not who administers it. Leader Jeffries should swear her in on the steps of the Capitol, so she can finally get to work to do the job she was elected to do.

This is not about the merits of Iran’s nuclear program. No president has the authority to bomb another country that does not pose an imminent threat to the US without the approval of Congress. This is an unambiguous impeachable offense.

Trump wants to proclaim May 8th as Victory Day for World War II. As usual, he displays his ignorance of history -- WW2 didn't end for the U.S. until the surrender of Japan on August 15. But who celebrates the victory on May 8? Russia, that's who -- the country Trump wants the U.S. to emulate.
