One of the memes that pops into my head is the "You have caused confusion and delay". Today I went to grab a fresh copy of the image and I stumbled across this supercut. Who knew they said the phrase *so many* times on that show 😆

Give me a hammock and a perfect spring evening and I’ll be pretty darn happy 🌅

Who else here gets bothered by having too many unread e-mails in your inbox? 🙋‍♀️
Does it ever just get to the point where you want to hit "archive all" and start fresh? Just me?

Branded cookie and donut scented deodorant. For some reason this also was not on my 2025 bingo card. Or really any bingo card ever.

Every time I think to myself we’re so close to real life being like Idiocracy, I wait six months and things are headed even more in that direction than I thought possible 🫠 it’s a scary cycle

Being a part of a major airline merger is a really incredible experience, but it's nothing like I thought I was ready for.

All the day-to-day complexities to literally "keep the [current] airline running" while learning about a new parent org, looking out for my team, and so much more.

Remember this? A problem we didn't have in automated speech recognition tools until OpenAI decided they were going to do away with alignment (not the kind that so-called "AI safety" people do)? And they're giving us "artificial general intelligence" any day now right?

Researchers say an AI-powered transcription tool used in hospitals invents things no one ever said
Whisper is a popular transcription tool powered by artificial intelligence, but it has a major flaw. It makes things up that were never said.

What is everyone using for local dev environments these days & what type of work you do you use it for (backend/internal API, full stack web app, etc)?

This is a lovely succinct reminder. Especially “You have a unique voice that others don’t have.” This applies to many facets of our creativity and what we can share with the would.
#blogvent day 5 is here!

I wrote about shipping things, even when you see others working on something similar to what you want to release.

Ship it anyway
You have a unique voice, and you should use it to build what you can.

I’ve spent the last week in rural Germany touring & admiring horse facilities & learning a ton.

And bonus: not only did I learn about the equine industry here, I also learned a ton about non-rev (stand-by) travel to and in Europe 😆 😅

I’m ready to go back and build some cool stuff now 👩‍💻

I'm both nervous and excited that my new shoes came in the day before I leave for a trip. Seems like a risky choice but I want to believe that I chose well and they'll break in without breaking me 😅
