Det sørgelige er at det netop er de materialelle omstændigheder - de konkrete kommunikationsmidler, som I har valgt at flytte over til efter Twitter - der gør jer apatiske. Det åbne sociale web gør typisk folk håbefulde og handlekraftige, ikke fordi det hele er løst, men fordi man kan se vejen frem.

Last time I checked, Öcalan is confined in a prison island and the Turkish military is bombing the Zap region which they responded to by destroying a tank. The regime has always criminalized any support for PKK (as has the CHP before Erdogan)

I wonder where the limit goes. Can you post about Abdullah Öcalan on bluesky without the Turkish state coming to censor you? I wonder how the experience has been for someone like @b9ace.org that regularly posts about Northern Syria and the resistance against Turkey's invasion.

More or less I tend to think that both Bluesky and the present-day fediverse are caught up in chasing the dreams of social networks built by Millenials, for Millenials, on the hopes and dreams that a "global town square" would work.
Very "early web 2.0 zeitgeist" thinking. Doomed, IMO.

More or less I tend to think that both Bluesky and the present-day fediverse are caught up in chasing the dreams of social networks built by Millenials, for Millenials, on the hopes and dreams that a "global town square" would work.
