Feel like a lot was left on the table with this one. For a near 2 hour movie, we dont learn that much about our lead.
Its brutal, violent and the vengeance is sweet. A solid 3⭐️ but this could've been more.
Coralie Fargeat has two solid feature films.

I liked Coralie Fargeat's ##TheSubstance, so let's try her first feature #Revenge

Hi, political scientist by way of academic credentials in public policy analysis here. I know how the Senate works. You’re all cowards & should resign.

People will die from losing healthcare.

My mom died pre-ACA b/c of insurance lifetime limits & they stopped her treatment.

We can’t go back.

SCOTUS finally gets one right. Still corrupt, needs to be expanded completely revamped

The national level Dems are worthless. They gave up the only leverage they had, with hopes the GOP will talk about ACA subsidies after. You know, the ACA subsidies they want to get rid of in the first place.
Fuckin idiots.

My therapist and I talked about men who weaponize emotional vulnerability to erode boundaries of empathetic women, and use safety signaling through family imagery as manipulation tactics today, and holy shit…where has this conversation been my entire life?!

Checked my Twitter and a whole lot of people who either dont live, work or do business in NYC are full of opinions about #Mamdani winning the mayoral race.
Also, much like woke, they have no idea what a communist actually is.

Im always a little Blue after #Halloween.....which means I gotta watch a horror movie tonight

Overall, a good #31DaysOfHalloween. 12 were truly great movies. 10 were good to ok while 9 were just bad to unwatchable.
Top 4 were Bring Her Back, ReAnimator, Weapons and Talk To Me.
Pleasantly surprised by Companion, Match, Takeout and Return of the Vampire.

Its the best holiday of the year.
Screw Thanksgiving, the winter holidays, 4th of July.

Arbor Day, youre alright.
But the best night of the year will always be #Halloween

#31DaysOfHalloween Day 31 Glamping (2025)
Ending on a whimper. When Tubi is good, when it isnt, it is boring.
Not badly made, but is more like a teen drama on Freeform. The horror kicks in the last 20 min, but you have to sit through an hour of banal drama with unlikeable characters.

A ★½ review of Glamping (2025)
As a teen drama on Free-form, its fine. As a horror movie, it fails. The home invasion part finally starts with about 20 min left, but you dont care about these characters. And the reveal of what is g...

First time reading Grady Hendrix and I thoroughly enjoyed this. He has a deft touch portraying Southern family dynamics around a funeral.
The supernatural element is done well, and the climax goes nuts.
All about loss, dealing with grief and moving on.

#31DaysOfHalloween Day 30 Pharoah's Curse (1957)
A 2⭐️ affair. Not much to write home about. A tad drab, but the makeup and set design is quite good.
Could honestly do for a remake.

A ★★ review of Pharaoh's Curse (1957)
Its pretty dull. Probably better seen as an inspiration for a little bit of The Mummy (99). Feel like this could do for a remake. Civil unrest, colonialism, a lot of social commentary is sitting there...

#31DaysOfHalloween Day 29 #Weapons (2025)
The horror bits in this absolutely hit. Dread and a pretty well done mystery build up to an ending I couldn't stop smiling and laughing. A very good 4⭐️ movie.

A ★★★★ review of Weapons (2025)
This was a lot of fun. The horror in this hits well. Brolin was the perfect casting for Archer and Julie Garner was great as well. The standout was Cary Christopher as Alex, who is so sympathetic, but...

#31DaysOfHalloween Day 28 The Crawling Hand (1963).
The premise is good, cinematography has moments of brilliance but man a whole lot of nothing happens in this.

#31DaysOfHalloween Day 27 The Inhabitant (2022)
1.5⭐️ talk about a drab outing. Flat, boring story and they spell out the movie in the first minute with a text overlay. The definition of a skip this one.

#31DaysOfHalloween Day 26 Bring Her Back (2025)
Dude. This was amazing. Depressing, dark and gnarly. Sally Hawkins knocked this out the park and the ending...I'll be reflecting on that for a while. Movies like this are why I fucking love horror.

#Batman "Moon of the Wolf" is one of those cool episodes where they embraced the horror side of the Animated Series, and it still holds up today. The transformation animation, the story, the ending, is all real good.

#31DaysOfHalloween Day 24 The Masque of the Red Death (1964).
Can't have a #Halloween without a Vincent Price, Poe adaptation. Price is so detestable, and ending goes nuts. A solid 3⭐️ flick.
