I think its possible, but unlikely, that people can vote for a racist party and not be racist. But if you point at a specific racist policy and go "Hey I like that racist idea", then I can't help but conclude that you might be racist....

What the hells wrong with Labour these days, seriously?

Disney Plus membership cancelled. Might be permanent, might not be. In any case it's not like there was much worth watching on it after Andor. Not giving them the benefit of the doubt right now.

I am trying my best to stick to a Linux only ecosystem for everything except games (because some of the stuff I play just won't run on proton) And with the combo of Fedora, Framework Desktop, Proton/Wine I think I'm nearly there.

If some is struggling enough that they have to resort to shoplifting discount food to survive, I'm not going to see it, even if I did.

That said, there are better venues to approach that may have additional support.

Are Private Eye jokes now... criminal?

PALESTINE Solidarity campaigner Jon Farley was arrested during a silent march in Leeds last weekend. What egregious act had prompted the police to act? He was, er, carrying a Private Eye joke piece as a placard!

Booked a class in work not realising that it is in person in London, so I'm using the whoopsie as an excuse to go 'on the road' for a few days and see how my lightweight travel option works. Basically bringing the Framework 12 in the LTT Commuter backpack vs the 16 in the LTT OG backpack.

I understand the reasons that some might vote no on the assisted dying bill that just passed, but on balance I'm glad it did. I want that choice personally when the time comes. That said, now we might have another 'irish sea border' where we will lack rights others in the UK have.

Switch 2 arrived. Mario Kart isn't my thing, but as usual I'm always glad to see Pauline getting her dues more these days. Now to leave it sitting there unused until a new Xenoblade or Mario comes out....

I feel like there needs to be a discussion about what 'delivery' means in terms of your packages. Tossing them at a front door and taking a photo is not delivery. It was not delivered to me, the name on the box. It's abandonment. Especially if that front door isn't even mine....

I have a weird thing, where at checkpoints career wise I'll fire up a text editor and write the linkedin post I'd want to write if I were leaving a company. The attempt fails more often than not, which is the sign that I shouldn't go just yet. Either things are good or I don't have a 'better' place.

Not a bad trip to JCon Europe in Cologne, albeit getting home was a disaster after someone unalived themselves on the track to the airport, so the train got stuck for 90 mins until it was cleared. I was already 30 mins behind due to train cancellations. Missed the flight.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... Well done to the PSNI for arresting that troublesome 72 year old pensioner that *reads notes* did criminal damage by putting a temporary sticker on a wall. That apparently fell off by the time of the arrest. No idea how thats supposed to be in the public interest.

Mental health care at the moment seems to be pretty much "Are you going to kill yourself right now or can you fuck off and come back later?"

Starmer is a spineless coward, parroting far right trash talk. "Island of strangers" my ass. How about "Island of new friends and opportunities"?

What even is the point of labour if they're just going to try being tories?

Just missed out on getting a ride with the aer lingus classic paint job. Next time, maybe. In any case, hitting JCon Europe very soon.

Thought of one reason to preorder a switch 2, make sure you've got the early batch that might hav unpatchable flaws for homebrew down the road....

Not all that fussed on the Switch 2 honestly. Paid for upgrades for your Switch games, even if said upgrade isn't that much? Think I'd rather dump them and emulate, honestly. Then we're looking at quite the price hike on games when I've a cheaper catalogue for my Steam Deck. Feels like a cash grab.

I know the usual suspects will cry foul, but if someone abuses a privilege and is found to have done so in a fair trial, it is a reasonable remedy to prevent them from seeking to gain that same privilege for a finite period.
