Still an AI skeptic myself, but this was interesting take on the subject: This hedge-fund giant studied over 30 bubbles — and came away more convinced that the AI trade is the right one www.marketwatch.com/story/this-h...

Hedge-fund giant Coatue has heard all the bubble arguments — and still comes away convinced that the right move is betting on artificial intelligence and its potential.

Catch-22: The BLS tracks had bad its data is. But how bad is the data on bad data?

You can simultaneously think Cook's referral was politically motivated and note that the two mortgages were completed within a month of each other. Her career bio does not suggest she got a new job in Atlanta in June 2021 right after signing mortgage.
But that did not unsettle where my legitimate PRIMARY RESIDENDE was in NYC…I was merely sent off to spend 1 year at Warburgs in London to start a trading fest there before returning to - wait for it - my PRIMARY RESIDENCE in NYC.

Knowing literally nothing of Lisa Cook’s personal finances, I’d guess

Yeah I was very surprised by the French mkt reaction. Other than the date of the vote, who didn't know the parliamentary situation was unstable?
It’s grimly funny that market participants will freak out when a French government coalition breaks down (something that happens all the time) but they’re just blasé about the US government’s complete assault on the Fed and free markets.

Weird one.. JPMorgan downgraded Krispy Kreme to underweight (itself rare) but also doesn't have a price target.

Anyone know how many covered companies with ratings don't have targets?

S&P last night: 'The U.S.'s prosperity reflects a track record of generally effective checks and balances that include strong civic society, political stability, respect for property rights and the rule of law, and success in promoting innovation and new technology.'

'Generally' doing work there

Right in line with consensus (Philly Fed pro forecaster roundup, as of May, was 1.4% in 2025 and 1.6% in 2026, which is World Bank's as well.)
* WORLD BANK CUTS U.S. GROWTH FORECAST BY 0.9 PERCENTAGE POINTS TO 1.4% IN 2025, CUTS 2026 FORECAST BY 0.4 PERCENTAGE POINTS

* WORLD BANK ECONOMIST KOSE: 2025 FORECAST INDICATES LOWEST LEVEL OF GLOBAL GROWTH SINCE 2008, OUTSIDE OF RECESSIONS

Dallas Fed has a report saying the tariff rate that would maximize revenue -- if other countries didn't retaliate -- would be 70%.

Falls to a still steep 30% with retaliation.
