Quality counts in healthcare. A nurse is who I am, as much or more than what I do. That picture is an aperiodic monotile quilt I made in 2023.
Ha - why are there always 5 corners when binding a quilt???

I’ve come to this very late - I think they have finished their run, but am listening through from the beginning (MK Thailand)

Specifically I find (most) batiks thinner fabric, tighter woven (with a corresponding higher thread count), and stretch less. The colors and prints can be sort of muddy, but certainly not all, and it can make them more blend-y than other fabrics. Your choice if you consider any/all a benefit or not.

Aww - it’s been ages since I’ve seen a “colorwash” quilt. people used to have pizza boxes full of little squares sorted by color and value. This little owl is lovely.

This is such a joy. Thank you for sharing the exhibit and thanks to the Art Center for making this kind of walk-through possible! Joy shines through all of them. What a body of work. Thank you again.

This is an interesting technique. I’ve made a t-shirt quilt but it ended up too heavy (and stiff) with even the super-light interfacing. Baby clothes are little and the 5-8” roll widths do work as cute columns.

So, that’s a sweet-looking photo (do you know the source? Is it AI?) but I’m trying to figure out what they are actually doing in the picture. All of the women have their hand in front of them with their fingertips close together but I don’t see any quilting happening.
