I expect that consumer-facing AI programs will continue to improve and they may become much more useful tools for everyday life in the future.

But I think it was a disastrous mistake that today’s models were taught to be convincing before they were taught to be right.

Read this thread. Calling this out, as the woman did, is essential.

This happens with art direction too: inevitably it's REALLY easy to find certain types of people & if you don't *intentionally* seek out others, it becomes homogenous. In my last few years I tried to instate this as a priority.
the next person," people invited the people they were closest to, which disproportionately meant people who looked like them. It wasn't *intentionally* exclusive, but it was exclusive anyway.

The lesson I took from that was that if we want to be inclusive, we have to be *intentional*.
