Movement can be seen almost anywhere but is concentrated near the coast, where counts of more than 10,000 a day are quite common. The chart shows Kent average daily peak counts 2020-22. #kentbirding

The Big Kent Bird Migration Day is this Saturday - KOS member Andrew Henderson's archive analysis suggests we will be in peak period for Arctic Skua passage. The best places to see them are around the coast, such as Shellness, Thanet or Dungeness when strong NW winds push birds down the North Sea.
