Three Cambodian women, who came to Japan under the foreign technical intern program, have filed a lawsuit against their former employer over allegations he raped one of the women over a five-month period, along with regularly not paying overtime.
Cambodian interns accuse farmer of sexual abuse and wage theft
One woman was raped nearly every day and endured conditions “akin to sexual slavery,” the three women's lawyer said in a statement.

夕方は「戦争における倫理と法」シンポジウムを拝聴。「Why War?」という問いを出発点に「倫理と法」に焦点が当てられた学際的な議論でした。「人々は経験的に歴史から学び個人の倫理性をもって叡智を尽くすことができるという点で、人々の意思と主権国家の意思は乖離している」という小和田恆ICJ元判事の見地から、それらをつなぐ制度をどのように設計していくべきかと言う議論に広がっていて興味深かった。
