On December 9, 2025, we remember this lovely "Bella Rosa" red camellia japonica that was blooming on March 29, 2025. Winnie the Golden is peeking through the fence. Nuccio's in Altadena suffered great damage in the fires.

Some great news: I just got off the phone with the U.S. Coast Guard, who has returned the rescue helicopter to Newport and promised to keep it there. This is a big win to keep fishermen and the Newport community safe.

This is what I've had the privilege to watch happening in Chicago:

A genuine social moment, so new and spontaneous (though not without antecedents and seedbeds) it doesn't even yet have a theory or "ideology." Just: people doing....

Klippenstein: The memo says it considers as indicators things like anti-Christian sentiment, anti-government views, and anti-traditional family positions.

These are descriptors that would cover millions and millions of people in this country.

A priest led 1000 Catholics in a Eucharistic Procession from St. Eulalia Church to Broadview - monstrance in hand - to give Holy Communion to detainees.

DHS denied them even though prisoners, by law, can't be denied religious rights.

The release of the video showing Tom Homan rejecting the $50k bribe from FBI agents has been scheduled alongside the release of Trump’s health care plan and news of all the successful trade deals, both of which will be released in two weeks.
Q: Did the president ask the DOJ to close the Homan investigation and does he have to return the $50,000

LEAVITT: Mr. Homan never took the $50,000, so you should get your facts straight ... you had FBI agents going undercover to try and entrap one of the president's top allies and supporters

For many years, this woman was my least favorite judge on the DC Circuit. I have learned only in the last two or three years that she carries a depth of substance and honor of which I was previously unaware. Like Judge Nina Pillard, she has grown on me a lot recently.
Karen Henderson is the longest-serving Republican appointee on the D.C. Circuit. She’s deeply conservative but not Trumpy.

In ordering the Trump administration to restore a congressionally mandated database of federal spending, she strongly suggests the president is engaging in king-like behavior.
