I guess I've just taken for granted the ability to parallel park a car. I just found out the other day that my younger son had never once had to do that in over 11 years of having his driver's license.

The grackles have returned for spring. In the last 4 years, I have seen the same bird in the group, unique with his one stark white tail feather on an otherwise black bird. I read they can live for 15 years or more, so I nicknamed him "Old Man". I have not seen him yet, and it makes me a bit sad.

10 years ago this week, I had a heart attack while shoveling snow. It was a mild one, I drove myself to the emergency room and stopped for a sandwich on the way. Got two coronary stents.
