I love #ttrpg worldbuilding. It's maybe my favorite part of being a lifelong game master.

Now, I can build my worlds right inside of Realms of Shod. I'm excited to share this new product notes video with you.

Design a memorable #ttrpg encounter by making the scene as terrifying as the adversaries. Players must feel that their characters have survived great peril.

Had an awesome first #ttrpg session of Mörk Borg!

I was able to get through the Goblin Grinder adventure in four and a half hours.

Also had a first time table-topper and the game was so easy to learn. All I needed was to print off the one page rules for the table.

Let's talk Mörk Borg. Who's played it?

The rules are minimal, and the enemies are super limited. Are we hacking the system and building our own bestiaries?

Next #ttrpg read is Scum and Villainy. This is my first experience with the Forged in the Dark ruleset. What can I expect?

Just finished reading the fantastic #shadowdark #ttrpg by Kelsey Dionne. I especially like the time pressure created by torch/inventory management, as well as the pages and pages of random tables to help you quickly scaffold story elements, even as you play live at your table.

Can't wait to play!

One of the pillars of #ttrpg gameplay is adventure, but what is an adventure without wizard keeps, pirates, cataclysms, and magic loot!?

With the latest release of realmsofshod.com, we've added a "Compendium" mode, which allows you to manage entities and their relationships.

Told some #ttrpg stories with friends around a campfire in the woods. It was magical. Highly recommended!

I've been reading "Ultraviolet Grasslands" by Luka Rejec.

Not even halfway through the westward trek to the Black City is a Low Moon. If players descend into the moon and solve some of its mysteries, the book says you awaken the moon, it flies into the sun, and the world dies in two days.

I finally get the appeal of treasure in ttrpgs as a GM. I make my little dungeon, my quaint fun house. It has these interesting features in it. And also, there is a little treat in there? But you must find out how to retrieve the treat! It's like preparing a kong for a dog.

I have a confession.

I have a crippling addiction to purchasing TTRPG books that I know I will never be able to GM.

Luka Rejec was cooking with the fantastic Ultraviolet Grasslands #ttrpg.

The caravan mechanics emphasize westward movement, while the XP system emphasizes new experiences. It seems like a fantastic way of engaging players by giving them a clear and common goal.

I read and loved Dan Simmons's Hyperion well over a decade ago. I decided to give it another read recently, and..

Oh boy, has it delivered—the Ouster invasion of Hyperion as a backdrop to the final pilgrimage as the characters tell their stories. Father Hoyt and Sol Weintraub's are my favorites.

Let's talk Ultraviolet Grasslands. Who has played it in a group setting? Are the caravan mechanics fun?

We've been misled in our quest to play #ttrpg games online. Why default to complex platforms with unreliable character sheets and costly assets you can only use on their platform? That's vendor lock-in, meant to extract your money.

There's an alternative.

Reason #5 of why I built realmsofshod.com.
