No idea if any of you are following along, but we successfully trapped 4 kittens and their mom. Had mom spayed Monday and just trapped the kittens today.

Also, kitten update. These are 3 of the 4 I need to trap. Mom is living in our garage after her spay surgery Monday.

About to do some safety training for a large transportation company and they require a photo upload for the badge they give you at the end. Do they not have any women working on their sites?

This is probably my favorite project in a long time. The Halibut sweater by Caitlin Hunter. Yarn by Malabrigo (blue) and Explorer Knits and Fibers (yellow). #showmeyourknits

It’s pretty wild watching the public hearing on the proposal to revoke the EPA’s endangerment finding. All kinds of people are stepping up.

Today’s vaguely naughty sounding geology term: Big Bosom Buttes.

Just learned a previous Washington State governor was named Dixy Lee Ray. (1980)

I subscribe to the New England Journal of Medicine’s weekly brief. It’s a newsletter with their headlines and links to articles.

This week’s has a fantastic history of why US medicine has a profit driven model. It’s because doctors wanted it that way at the early part of the last century.

My only nerdy claim to fame today is that I have been to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on my way to Magadan in pursuit of earthquake info in grad school.

They have some nice volcanoes near the airport. Pretty sure that's Avachinsky, but could be wrong (it's been over 20 years...).

It is gorgeous. There’s a fantastic overlook of a hair pin just west of the summit before you drive down into the valley. Enjoy!
