A post-election capitulation. Was It the plan all along?
“Sure, it took longer than expected, but Democrats were always going to cave.”

@democrats.senate.gov needs to put their votes where their mouths are and finally get rid of Schumer. Corporate PAC money Dems are finished with voters. They've betrayed this nation one too many times. #traitors #liars #shills @sanders.senate.gov @amyklobuchar.com @smith.senate.gov

I think the explanation is that Schumer-Durbin worked this out together; decided who could vote Yes, so others, like Schumer, could vote No.
It's a betrayal of the public trust and a disservice to the Democratic Party faithful, most of whom are working to rid us of this bastardized Executive gang

King thought there would be no negative ramifications for him, but there will be huge consequences for the American people and his son @anguskingiii.bsky.social should never occupy a position representing the people. Ramifications come in many form and not rewarding nepotism should be one.

He DID whip FOR the leader. Schumer gave cover by having Senators who are either retiring or not up for re-election in 2026 to vote Yes, while Schumer voted No. Schumer was likely working behind the scenes to end the shutdown. He needs to go!!!

Makes me think that he did essentially whip for him, all 8 votes of safe Senators not facing reelection, under cover of deniability.

Did he betrya the caucus?
Schumer's "No" vote was a sham. Schumer wasn't betrayed by The Eight, he either orchestrated the whole Kabuki play or he isn't qualified to lead the Dem Caucus.
Either way, the Minority Whip betrayed nobody - he was doing the job he was told to do.
