Many teachers may only have a one size fits all approach and this needs to be broader. All teachers receive safeguarding training, often have to have first aid training. Viewed as impt. Why not the same for #SEND training and #Autism training. @ros_luff #TransparencyOnExclusions

Good morning, teachers. Remember, one bad day doesn't make you a bad teacher. It just makes you human. Humanity is the backbone of every connection you make with your students. #edusky

Neurodiversity affirming language is SO important - I read so many referral forms which describe traits with an unintentionally problematic lens.

LANGUAGE IS EVERYTHING!

Trying to make healthy lunches for work! It’s either I’m always eating late, not eating healthy food or overeating when I get home. I need to change this! Anyone else feel the same way about their diet when back at school? #edusky

1. Speech and language development CPD mandatory and a core element of teacher training. This is different to ‘oracy’; it underpins it.
2. More rigour around recording children as having SEND. Currently too arbitrary and often depends on the setting child is in.
3. More fluidity between KS2 & KS3.

🧵🧵A thread of tips on effective modelling 🧵🧵
1. Chunk the model into parts, performing the I do-We do-You do for one chunk before going back to the I do-We do-You do for chunk 2. This prevents cognitive overload from having to remember a large amount of steps/content in their working memories.
