Was given green light to ride out as close as we could to the Oak Ridge Fire and talked with 3 firefighters.Absolutely appreciative of them, and others who left their home this week to help Navajo Nation. Especially thankful to the homegrown firefighters who’ve been fighting this since the start.

For decades the NRA and other gun nuts told us that their guns were to protect us all from a tyrannical government. So a tyrannical government is here, they are all sitting on their asses, and the people who want gun control have taken to the streets to defy the tyrannical government instead.

In today’s political climate, I consider it a racist dog-whistle for a hospital employee to lie to collect a Native patient’s contact & medical info & then end their part of the call with “have an A1 day” when I urged to speak with someone else. I guess Sheila doesn’t know how expensive racism is ✨

If you have a capitol one credit card with automatic payment, check your account now to make sure the settings weren’t changed. I have auto payments selected to avoid late fees in the rare occasion I forget to pay ahead of time. This month it was suddenly turned off & now have an added late fee.

I’ve changed my browser from google to DuckDuckGo but every page I open continues to pull up google’s results in another language. Did a search on how to fix it & the browser says I have to log into google to select preferred language, which I don’t want to do. google is an invasive weed 😭

In these chaotic times, it’s hard to find some semblance of familiarity in the world. I hadn’t expected reprieve to come in the form of the newest Karate Kid movie. I love that it’s appropriately named Legends. Wax on, wax off, Miyagi’s legacy continues.

I just learned (on the clock app) that pattern companies (ie simplicity, etc) pay companies to destroy sewing patterns instead of heavily discounting or donating.

I’ve had a painful muscle knot in my back that’s left me w/ a headache for several days. I’ve been in a fibro flare at the same time so couldn’t massage until today. As I’m using my cane massager I hit the knot & take a deep sigh of relief, that then pulled a muscle on the other side of my neck. 🫠
