MISHMASHERS Publishing is an independent publishing company specializing in a range of different genres.
The first chapter of 52 Corpse Pick Up is now available on Readers Digested. I envisioned it as a crime black-comedy, blending my intrigue with serial killers and how they tick with a detective story, seasoned with a gnarly, zany sense of humor.

The Readers Digested will have original stories (some will be available free, others will require a subscription through our Patreon page). It will be a rotation.

One story I wrote and am very proud of is The One-Two Punchline, which you can read freely.

It isn't 'exactly' in its readiest of states, but I just couldn't bring myself not to celebrate it with the Halloween season. Rabies and germs, Readers Digested (dot) com ... Cheers. We'll eatcha alive!

I saw A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead was on sale and decided to scoop it. The asking price wasn't unreasonable on launch, but I think I had an immediate perception about what this game would be. It totally is that.

I just wrapped up my playthrough of Crow Country. Think Resident Evil / Silent Hill, with an art style that feels like a twisted Alice in Wonderland meets the retro look of Final Fantasy VII. I had a lot of fun with it. Recommend it. #CrowCountry

It's almost September now, which means I think it is close enough to spooky season to plug our horror anthology series Readers Digested. Each book has a collection of flash fiction, short stories, and novelettes from an array of different authors.

Hey, my brother and I have been writing a series about a white fox in a green scarf with bad anxiety and a Doberman who's more than a little "ruff" around the edges. Haha, get it? Ruff!? ... Yeah, ... imagine if Hannibal, Sly Cooper, and Sherlock Holmes had a kid.

It can never be understated how much Freddy Krueger, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and frankly, all of the Slasher movies from the eighties meant to me. Do I think every film is an absolute classic? Of course not. Do they have problems? For sure. Still though, the stuff helped make my childhood.

I want to document my progress and clue everyone in on what I am working on as much as I can, both because it will keep me motivated and like I haven't just dropped off the face of the planet with things, and also because I can receive feedback to help me shape the idea.

I have been trying to reclaim some of my "horror" roots that have been lost in the last few years and celebrate new filmmakers' and original horror again. I watched In a Violent Nature and Attachment, both films available on Shudder.

I have recently started playing Poppy's Playtime 4. The series has been a fun, interesting time (one I'd actually recommend over the Five Night's at Freddy's games), borrowing from the aforementioned FNAF series and other surprising series' like BioShock and Portal. #PoppysPlaytime

How many of you still participate in #NaNoWriMo? I never have, but I have had three occasions where I've written a book in a month (but it wasn't in November). I am considering trying to participate this year.

I watched the new Superman film yesterday. I was on the fence going iin, but I am happy to report I enjoyed it a lot. It being called one of the most "comic-book movies ever" wasn't hyperbolic, it feels like a Saturday Morning cartoon come to life. The film is hopeful and fun, colorful and vibrant.

Scott and I are currently placing the finishing touches on our latest novel Sylver & Gold, a spin-off of our "Canes" series with a Sci-Fi twist.

This ones' really out there, and unlike anything we've ever written.

The story of #TheImposter remains one of the most surprising stories ever documented at such lengths. It is the type of film that needs to be seen to be believed. #Documentary #TrueCrime

Two years ago, we got Saw X, which was, surprisingly, one of (if not the) best films of the franchise. What's next for Saw 11? Hoffman, again? Will it set up a proper sequel? #SAW #Jigsaw

In China, Ne Zha 2 has been setting the box office ablaze in Chinese markets. The film has already eclipsed major titles, and it is only a matter of time until it usurps Inside Out 2 as the highest grossing animated film. #NeZha2

I've now started Gori: Cuddly Carnage. I bought Gori on launch because I wanted to support such a wacky, out there idea, but, now, it is time to finally slice in! Me-fucking-ow!

G'morning!

My wife and I will be unwinding today by playing Hollow Knight, a Metroidvania with Souls-like elements tucked in. We're about 16 hrs into the campaign. Tough game to say the least!

I bought Nikoderiko: The Magical World. It wears its influences on its sleeve, paying homage to Crash Bandicoot and Donkey Kong Country in equal form. I have been playing it with my wife and I have been having a lot of fun with it. It is laid-back and playful, and feels slick and polished.

Recently started watching Dexter: Original Sin, I'm undecided on it thus far.

Personally, I wish Showtime would've simply went the route of making a new "serial killer" series rather than trying to mine more out of the Dexter character.
