Mortal Shell 2 will be out next year. I bought the original game on launch, along with Hellpoint. Did anyone play the DLC, post-game content they put out? Is it worth checking out?

Here's my original review: www.readersdigested.com/game-review-...
Game Review: “Mortal Shell” - Readers Digested
In an earlier review, I referred to the videogame Hellpoint as one of the most polarizing experiences I had this year gaming, but, in truth, that very same thing could have applied to developer Cold S...

I had the chance to head out to the theater and see Black Phone 2 last week. I took some time, let it marinate, and now I'm ready to share my thoughts with you guys about what I thought. #BlackPhone2 #BlackPhone
‘Black Phone 2’ Helps Build a Horror Icon - Readers Digested
When The Black Phone arrived, it told a complete story. Does Black Phone 2 earn its keep, or is it another in a long list of needless sequels?

The first chapter of 52 Corpse Pick Up is now available on Readers Digested. I envisioned it as a crime black-comedy, blending my intrigue with serial killers and how they tick with a detective story, seasoned with a gnarly, zany sense of humor.

I started playing #InNightmare, developed by Magic Fish Games. I am about an hour in, and I am, at the very least, intrigued by the peculiar mechanics.

I was expecting a basic, gamer's first Outlast kind-of experience (which it may still turn out to be), and, honestly, I would be okay with that.

Gonna watch The Black Phone 2 tomorrow. I've been a longtime enjoy'er of Scott Derrickson's filmmaking - I loved Sinister and I consider Inferno to be, maybe, the second or third best Hellraiser (better than what people credit it for).

The Readers Digested will have original stories (some will be available free, others will require a subscription through our Patreon page). It will be a rotation.

One story I wrote and am very proud of is The One-Two Punchline, which you can read freely.

It isn't 'exactly' in its readiest of states, but I just couldn't bring myself not to celebrate it with the Halloween season. Rabies and germs, Readers Digested (dot) com ... Cheers. We'll eatcha alive!

I had the chance to watch the new Peter Pan: Neverland Nightmare film. It's in the same world as that spooky-dooky Winnie the Pooh film that came out. It's better than it has any right to be.

I saw A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead was on sale and decided to scoop it. The asking price wasn't unreasonable on launch, but I think I had an immediate perception about what this game would be. It totally is that.

It bums me out the reviews aren't good for The Strangers: Chapter Two. It isn't that I was expecting much, personally, but, I mean, how rare is it you get a Trilogy of slashers filmed back-to-back-to-back. I would love it if a series like Friday the 13th got that kind of treatment. #TheStrangers

I just wrapped up my playthrough of Crow Country. Think Resident Evil / Silent Hill, with an art style that feels like a twisted Alice in Wonderland meets the retro look of Final Fantasy VII. I had a lot of fun with it. Recommend it. #CrowCountry

It's almost September now, which means I think it is close enough to spooky season to plug our horror anthology series Readers Digested. Each book has a collection of flash fiction, short stories, and novelettes from an array of different authors.

Hey, my brother and I have been writing a series about a white fox in a green scarf with bad anxiety and a Doberman who's more than a little "ruff" around the edges. Haha, get it? Ruff!? ... Yeah, ... imagine if Hannibal, Sly Cooper, and Sherlock Holmes had a kid.

I understand things get complicated. Copyright disputes. Studios closing. Return on investment, etc. However, it still boggles my mind that it has been fourteen years since we have gotten a BioShock game. Classics. Loved the whole series a bunch. #BioShock

It can never be understated how much Freddy Krueger, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and frankly, all of the Slasher movies from the eighties meant to me. Do I think every film is an absolute classic? Of course not. Do they have problems? For sure. Still though, the stuff helped make my childhood.

Interested in horror mags. Any recommendations? #horrormags

I was thinking about Delirium, but wanted to use this to support some indies.

I am as much interested in reading them as I am curious about their formatting and layout. (I am tinkering with the idea of making a horror e-mag.)

One of the biggest, most challenging obstacles I have faced with maintaining any type of social media presence is overcoming the overwhelming, ever present belief that whatever it is I am going to say doesn't need to be said. I envy the people who don't have that little voice in their head.

I have had a million different false starts with it, but I finally bit the bullet and committed to watching The Walking Dead with the wife. I'm invested. It isn't always my jam, but I have had little pockets of things I enjoy. Love Maggie and Glenn. People throwing around the name "Negan" now. Fuck.

I finished Poppy's Playtime: Chapter 4.

I enjoyed it. Although none of these standalone releases are what I'd call great games, they come together for a solid horror videogame overall. I did encounter a lot more glitches in 4 than I did in 3, but I was able to circumvent all of them painlessly.
