It's not about the mystery of the protomolekule it's about showing how humans make "the expanse" (i don't want to spoil you know what i mean) while looking on dimensions like politics, distributive justice, the fragility of the space stations and the planets.

I just rewatched the expanse the 3rd time and for me it's THE best scify series and the book series is also one of my favorite, especially the end in the 9th book is the best, i love it.
I didn't saw akte x, but expanse is not mystery, just scify.
