As we think about misinformation, I really don't think trying to silence or "deboost" it works
I don't want to hear the "extraordinary evidence" that pseudoscientists don't have. Stop asking them for it

Just finished the third season. Glad there'll be more.
This is one of my favorite shows. Stupidly-smart (or smartly-stupid), I laugh all the time when I watch.

Thinking about this further, surely we've seen this kind of effect play out many times in the past?
Upgrading from paper filing to computerized forms, or paper ledgers to Excel, should have had impacts like this
Whats the best material out there on the economic impact of those kinds of changes?
Here's a much smaller question that still deserves credible discussion: what happens if AI tools give most working information professionals a 2x productivity boost?
What's the economic impact of that?
This outcome feels a whole lot more realistically likely to me than "AGI"

I think the BBC has missed the mark on this, with the emphasis in the wrong place. Loyalty cards offer savings in monetary terms, but there is still a cost. It’s not a true saving, this is “discounts for data”.

I think the BBC has missed the mark on this, with the emphasis in the wrong place. Loyalty cards offer savings in monetary terms, but there is still a cost. It’s not a true saving, this is “discounts for data”.
